See that light-blue box at the top right? That's the alert area. When one of your friends logs on, it will tell you. It will also tell you when someone wants to chat with your, and will relay other small messages to you while you're on this site. Cool, eh?

Friends and more friends

The "Friends" functionality is coming along nicely. You can now see not only who you've added as a friend, but who has you marked as a friend. From that list, there is a one-click "Add to friends" button to mark anyone in that list as your friend too.
